At GCSE Coaches, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a secure, respectful, and supportive environment for all students participating in our programs.
1. Our Commitment
We are dedicated to safeguarding all students from harm, abuse, neglect, or exploitation. All staff, tutors, and representatives of GCSE Coaches are expected to uphold this commitment at all times.
2. Safeguarding Principles
We operate under the following core principles:
The welfare of the student is paramount
All students have the right to feel safe and respected
Safeguarding is the responsibility of every team member
Concerns must be acted on promptly and appropriately
3. Staff & Tutor Standards
All tutors and staff are required to:
Conduct themselves professionally at all times
Maintain appropriate boundaries with students
Communicate only through approved channels
Avoid any form of inappropriate behaviour or language
Where applicable, tutors may be subject to identity verification and background checks.
4. Online Safety
As part of our services are delivered online, we implement safeguards including:
Use of secure platforms for lessons and communication
Monitoring of sessions where appropriate
Restriction of direct personal contact outside official systems
Students are advised not to share personal contact details with tutors or other students.
5. Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately.
This includes:
Inappropriate behaviour from a tutor or student
Concerns about a student’s wellbeing
Any situation where a student feels unsafe
Reports can be made confidentially via the email below.
All concerns will be taken seriously and handled promptly.
6. Parental Involvement
Where appropriate, parents or guardians will be informed of safeguarding concerns, particularly where student welfare may be at risk.
7. Response to Concerns
GCSE Coaches will:
Assess all concerns carefully
Take appropriate internal action (including suspension or removal of tutors/students if necessary)
Escalate to relevant authorities where required
8. Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
Treat tutors and peers with respect
Use platforms appropriately
Report anything that makes them uncomfortable
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Safeguarding Policy from time to time. Updates will be published on our website with an updated effective date.
